Gatomon has quite a past. Her Digiegg was lost when Gennai was trying to get the Digieggs containing the future
Destined Digimon out of danger. She waited for years as Nyaromon, when she digivolved into Salamon she went on a quest to find
the one person she was searching for. She ran into Myotismon, who tortured her because he didn't like her eyes.
She digivolves into Gatomon and becomes Myotismon's most loyal servant. She befriends another Champion level
Digimon named Wizardmon, who she saved. Gatomon tells him about her quest. Eventually, because of the beatings, she
forgets about her quest to find her partner. Gatomon was the one who defeated all the Digidestined's Champion level partners
and prevented them from going through the gate to the Real World. Later on, while searching for the eighth child, Gatomon
runs into Kari in the park. Gatomon acts like a cat, but Kari asks her if she knew Koromon. Because of Kari's knowledge of Koromon,
Gatomon follows her, wondering is she is the eighth child. After watching her for a little while, Gatomon decides that either way,
Kari knows too much and must be killed. Gatomon sneaks up, preparing to kill, but Kari turns around, catching her off gaurd. Startled,
Gatomon runs away. She continues to watch Kari from the building across the street, when Wizardmon appears. Wizardmon reminds her about
her quest. He carries her over to Kari, hands her the Digivice, and as Kari reaches for it, a bright light comes off of it. Confirming
that Kari is the eighth child. Gatomon gets captured by Myotismon, who forces her to tell him who the eighth child is. She refuses. When
Kari gives herself up in order to stop Phantomon from killing Matt, Gatomon still denies that she's the eighth child. Myotismon knows better
though, tricking her into calling for Kari. Wizardmon dies trying to protect Gatomon and Kari. This gets Kari to activate the Crest, allowing
Gatomon to Digivolve into Angewomon. Angewomon defeats Myotismon.
